Superlative ที่สุด têe sùt and Comparative มากกว่า mâak gwàa

สวัสดีค่ะ sà-wàt-dee kâ Today I would like to share how to use “Superlative ที่สุด têe sùt and Comparative มากกว่า mâak gwàa”. I got this idea when I answered the question of my student “How many seasons do you have in Thailand?” and my answer was “Hot, Hotter, and Hottest”! Hope you guys love this episode.


ประเทศไทยมีกี่ฤดู

bprà-tâyt tai mee gèe réu-doo

How many seasons do you have in Thailand?


ฤดูที่ 1 ฤดูร้อน

réu-doo têe nèung réu-doo rón

The first season is hot season (summer).


ฤดูที่ 2 ฤดูร้อนมาก

réu-doo têe sŏng réu-doo rón mâak

The second season is very hot season.


ฤดูที่ 3 ฤดูร้อนมากที่สุด

réu-doo têe săam réu-doo rón mâak têe sùt

The third season is the hottest season.


Comparative “More Than”

มากกว่า mâak gwàa more than

ร้อนมากกว่า rón mâak gwàa hotter than


Superlative “The Most”

ที่สุด têe sùt the most

ร้อนที่สุด rón têe sùt the hottest
