This structure allows you describe when there is too much of something. This structure is made by adding 〜すぎ after verbs, い adjectives and な
Remove the ます and replace with すぎる。
Vます ＋ すぎる ＝ はなし すぎる ＝ talk too much
たべすぎます Eat too much
べんきょうすぎます Study too much
今日は ちょっと はたらきすぎました。Today I worked a little too much!
Remove the い and replace with すぎる。
ADJ(い) ＋ すぎる ＝ たかすぎる ＝too tall/expensive
大きすぎます Too big
可愛すぎます Too cute
今、先生 は いそがしすぎます。The teacher is too busy at the moment.
Remove the な and replace with すぎる。
ADJ（な） ＋ すぎる ＝ しずか すぎる ＝too quiet
親切すぎます Too generous
綺麗すぎます Too beautiful
この部屋はしずかすぎますね！This room is too quite!
